Jeff is a profoundly deaf-blind adult due to Usher Syndrome Type 2. He is married to Lavonna (Gaither) Cook and they have 3 children: Mary, Jacob, and Joshua. Jeff is currently the Project Director for the Kansas Deaf-Blind Project and Educatiuon Program Consultant for the Kansas State Department of Education in Topeka, KS. He is also an ordained American Baptist Church of USA minister.

Q: Current Relationship Status?
A: I am married to Lavonna Sue (Gaither) Cook since June 28, 1985. She graduated from Turner H.S. in 1978.
Q: Any Children?
A: We have 3 children: Mary, Jacob, and Joshua.
Q: Any Pets?
A: I have a fully certified Leader Dog (Guide Dog) from the Leader Dogs School for the Blind in Rochester, MI. His name is "Sky" and he is a black male labrador.

A: I am the Project Director of the Kansas Deaf-Blind Project and Education Programs Consultant for the Kansas State Department of Education in Topeka, KS. Prior to being in this position, I was the Outreach School Psychologist for the Kansas School for the Deaf in Olathe, KS for 7 years. I have also been an ordained American Baptist Churches, USA minister since November 1981.I am fluent in both American Sign Language (ASL) and Contracted Braille.

A: Reading Braille and spending quality time with my family.

A: I enjoy high action films or suspense/thrillers movies.

A: Ozark Country Gospel Music

A: I enjoyed most of all of it.
Kansas Deaf-Blind Project
As it has continuously done through the past two decades, the Kansas Project For Children and Young Adults Who Are Deaf-Blind remains firmly committed to moving forward in assuring that identified children and young adults (birth-21 years), their parents, families, and educators will receive the technical assistance and services that they need and/or desire when they need and/or desire it.
