After graduating from Wyandotte, I attended college at Baker University graduating with a degree in Elementary Education. I taught for 9 years, completed a master's degree from the University of Central Missouri,then quit teaching to become a small retail business owner. I've been married to Doug Altenhofen (yes, I married a Ward HS boy)and we moved to OK in the early 80s. Since then, I've worked in human resource management and recruiting. I am currently a national recruiter for an insurance company. Doug is head of the surveying dept. for a small civil engineering firm. We are both looking forward to retirement in 2 or 3 years. We enjoy traveling, our 2 dogs and 1 cat, and watching OU football. We make it back to KC once in a while to visit Doug's family.
