Currently live in Athens, GA and retired 1/3/2009 from USDA, Rural Development after 40+ years. I have presented retirement training for federal agencies during my post retirement time. My wife has one son and one daughter with 2 grandsons & 2 granddaughters. My son is attending Athens technical college and working. My daughter graduated in late 2009 from Piedmont College in Athens and is employed as a First Grade teacher in the Athens School system. Her first son Dylan was born April 1, 2009.Another son Logan was born on July 19, 2012. My daughter had her 3rd boy January 16, 2017 named Waylon. She has a step daughter who is 6 years old. We assist with the g-kids as necessary.
My wife and I moved our moms into our home in early December 2011. Both 85 years old and needed closer assistance. Worked with my step son to construct another full bathroom in the basement with an additional bedroom. Regrettably, my mother-in-law passed away November 17, 2012. Life will never be the same as we deal with the loss of a loved one. My mother suffered a serious fall resulting in rehab and the need for 24/7 care. She is now residing in an assisted living facility within 2 miles of our home.
