After graduation from Kansas State, worked as office mgr trainee with Williams Meat Company in KCK, transferred after 13 months to Pensacola, FL as office manager for Wilsons Meat. Went to work with local privately-owned $400MM wholesale grocer in 1976, rose to Director of Purchasing; left in 2000 to work with Nash-Finch on a 9 month project in North Carolina; returned to Pensacola in spring of 2001 and in October, 2001, I purchased a local flower shop which my wife and I still own and manage today. I am a member of a local Kiwanis Club since 1983 and a local Rotary Club since 2002. Hobbies include collecting foreign currency, studying American history, and genealogy--I am now the family historian and have traced my family tree back to the middle ages and connections to King Richard III and King Edward IV of England.
