MARK ST JOHN is a Bass-slinger/vocalist and a dedicated, professional, stylistic bluesman with over 40yrs of experience organizing, touring, producing, and recording with some of the finest traditional blues players in the entertainment business!
ST JOHNZ bass chops lock in with the drummer to create a magic shuffle groove that is definately undeniable down in your soul! At present yo will find ST JOHN appearing with the JILL SHARPE BAND every Sunday Night Jam session at Ashley's in Long Beach, Ca........
ST JOHN has shared the stage with, among others, "Masterblaster of the Telecaster" the late Albert Collins, Bo Diddley, "The Grandfather of Rock 'n' Roll" Mr. Chuck Berry, also British blues legend John Mayall and former Rolling Stone Mick Taylor.......
..In August ‘92 ST JOHN organized the ‘Defrosterz blues band’ in Long Beach, Calif. and soon after began 13 years of touring the US and Canadian blues circuits backing up the legendary Texas saxblaster JOE HOUSTON !
..And to top it off STJOHN states: "We don't write these songs, folks, we just live our lives and present it to you in a 12 bar blues"!!
