I meet Mike from a friend on 02/02/67 and we married on 10/11/69. He is a graduate of Ward '69'
Two days after getting married we moved to San Diego, because Mike finished his duty in the Navy.
After one year, we moved back to K.C. and started a family.
We had a daughter, Rochelle Lynn, in '72' and a son Michael Jr. a year later. They both attended Ward and received two year scholarships to jr. college. Rochelle went to K.U. and is now an account for a
doctor's office. Mike jr went to Tennessee Mid State for Sound Engineering and is now a postal worker.
When the kids finished high school, Mike Sr. had the opportunity to continue with F.D.I.C.,in Boston.
So we packed a few bags. We were told the job would be in Boston for 4 to 6 mos., but it was a lot longer, we seen a lot of beautiful country in 6 yrs.. we lived in Boston area and didn't regret a day.
Right after we got back to K.C., Mike then started working for a mortgage company, and I just worked at a couple of jobs, with the last one working at the Kansan as advertising Rep.
Then our daughter started a family, now has a boy 6 yrs and twin 2yr. boys. And I have the best paying job in town. I babysit 2/4 days a week and get payed with hugs, kisses and thank yous.
I would like to correspond with any one from Wyandotte.
Had a great time at 40th reunion, sorry that I missed all the others.
